Do You Know the World You’re Living In?

• War in Ukraine. AI arms races. Climate disasters. Disrupted supply chains. Populist waves and democratic breakdowns. At first glance, these may seem like separate stories — but they are not. They are all connected.
• Each crisis feeds the next: war drives food and energy shocks; shocks drive migration and polarization; polarization weakens democracies; weakened democracies fail to respond to climate change, technology risks, or global security challenges. The result is an accelerating feedback loop — a polycrisis — that is reshaping the world faster than our institutions, our theories, and often our imagination can keep up.
• The New Geopolitics is about making sense of this reality. It goes beyond old, state-centric maps of power to capture how military, economic, digital, normative, and institutional struggles overlap — and how global competition now plays out in boardrooms, cyberspace, and public opinion as much as in battlefields.
• If we fail to understand this new landscape, we risk being left behind — politically, economically, even civilizationally. If we succeed, we can anticipate shocks, build resilience, and shape a future order that works for more than just the strongest powers.
